【摘要】:Usersoffiretestdataoftenneedaquantitativeindicationofthequalityofthedatapresentedinatestreport.Thisquantitativeindicationisreferredtoasthex201C;measurementuncertaintyx201D;.Therearetwoprimaryreasonsforestimatingtheuncertaintyoffiretestresults.5.1.1ISO/IEC17025requiresthatcompetenttestingandcalibrationlaboratoriesincludeuncertaintyestimatesfortheresultsthatarepresentedinareport.5.1.2Firesafetyengineersneedtoknowthequalityoftheinputdatausedinananalysistodeterminetheuncertaintyoftheoutcomeoftheanalysis.1.1ThisguidecoverstheevaluationandexpressionofuncertaintyofmeasurementsoffiretestmethodsdevelopedandmaintainedbyASTMInternational,basedontheapproachpresentedintheGUM.Theuseinthisprocessofprecisiondataobtainedfromaroundrobinisalsodiscussed.1.2Applicationofthisguideislimitedtoteststhatprovidequantitativeresultsinengineeringunits.Thisincludes,forexample,methodsformeasuringtheheatreleaserateofburningspecimensbasedonoxygenconsumptioncalorimetry,suchasTestMethodE1354.1.3Thisguidedoesnotapplytoteststhatprovideresultsintheformofindicesorbinaryresults(forexample,pass/fail).Forexample,theuncertaintyoftheFlameSpreadIndexobtainedaccordingtoTestMethodE84cannotbedetermined.1.4Insomecasesadditionalguidanceisrequiredtosupplementthisstandard.Forexample,theexpressionofuncertaintyofheatreleaseratemeasurementsatlowlevelsrequiresadditionalguidanceanduncertaintiesassociatedwithsamplingarenotexplicitlyaddressed.1.5Thisfirestandardcannotbeusedtoprovidequantitativemeasures.
