【摘要】:Colorandtintingstrengtharethemostimportantpropertiesofacolorpigment.Thistestmethodprovidesameansoftestingthesepropertiesforqualitycontrol.Thistestmethodisintendedasarefereemethodsothatsuchmattersasthevehicleforpreparingthedispersionsandthewhiteformakingtintshavebeensuggested.However,othervehiclesandwhitesmaybesuitableforqualitycontrolpurposes,andchangesinthistestmethodareallowedbyagreementbetweenthepartiestoatest.Itisassumedthatthemostexactcomparisonofmasscolorandtintingstrengthoccurswhenthepigmentiscompletelydispersed.ByfollowingtheproceduredescribedinAnnexA1,theconditionsforachievingthemaximumpracticaldegreeofdispersionwithamechanicalmullermaybedetermined.Colorandstrengthtestsshouldbecarriedoutundertheseconditions.Theresultsobtainedwithamechanicalmullerdonotnecessarilycorrelatedirectlywithanindustrialsituationwheredifferentdispersingconditionsexist.However,dispersionwithamechanicalmullerisaquickandinexpensivewayoftestingthecolorandstrengthofapigmentforroutinequalitycontrol.1.1Thistestmethodisintendedtobeusedtocomparethecolorandstrengthofapigmentundertestwithareferencestandardofthesametypeandgrade.1.2Thistestmethoddoesnotapplytowhitepigments.Note18212;TestMethodD3022issimilartothistestmethod,butitutilizesaminiaturesandmillratherthanamechanicalmuller,todispersethechromaticpigment.Note28212;TestMethodD332andTestMethodD2745aresimilartothistestmethod,buttheyareintendedforusewithwhitepigments,ratherthanchromaticpigments.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsarethepreferredunitofmeasurement.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecifichazardstatementsaregiveninSection8.
