【摘要】:Theconnectionstrengthbetweengeosyntheticreinforcementandsegmentalconcreteblockunitsisusedindesignofreinforcedsoilretainingwalls.Thistestisusedtodeterminetheconnectionstrengthforthedesignoftheconnectionsystemformedbysegmentalconcreteblockunitsandgeosyntheticreinforcementlayersinreinforcedsoilretainingwalls.Performingaseriesoftheseconnectiontestsatvaryingnormalloadspermitsdevelopmentofarelationshipbetweenconnectionstrengthandnormalload.Thisrelationshipmaybelinear,bi-linear,orsomeothercomplexmathematicalexpression.Thisconnectionstrengthtestismeanttobeaperformancetest(laboratoryorfield),therefore,itshouldbeconductedusingfull-scalesystemcomponents.Theconditionsforthetestareselectedbytheuserandarenotforroutinetesting.Asaperformancetestonfull-scalesystemcomponentsitaccountsforsomeofthevariablesinconstructionproceduresandmaterialstolerancenormallypresentforthesetypesofretainingwallsystems.1.1Thistestmethodisusedtodeterminetheconnectionpropertiesbetweenalayerofgeosyntheticreinforcementandsegmentalconcreteblockunitsusedinconstructionofreinforcedsoilretainingwalls.Thetestiscarriedoutunderconditionsdeterminedbytheuserthatreproducetheconnectionsystematfull-scale.Theresultsofaseriesoftestsareusedtodefinearelationshipbetweenconnectionstrengthforasegmentalunit-geosyntheticconnectionsystemandnormalload.1.2Thisisaperformancetestusedtodeterminepropertiesfordesignofretainingwallsystemsutilizingsegmentalconcreteunitsandsoilreinforcinggeosynthetics,eithergeotextilesorgeogrids.Thetestisperformedonafull-scaleconstructionoftheconnectionandmayberuninalaboratoryorthefield.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsareregardedasthestandard.Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsareprovidedforinformationonly.Thisstandardmayinvolvehazardousmaterials,operations,andequipment.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
